So we can be stronger in our praying, please read one verse each until all five hindrances to prayer are read. These passages help us avoid those things that block prayer.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. (Proverbs 29:9)
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (Psalm 66:18)
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it (Job 35:13)
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lust (James 4:3)
